What we collect and why

We use Plausible Analytics for aggregate analytics. Plausible is cookie-free and does not process or store any personal data — no IP addresses, no user identifiers, no cross-site tracking.
We do not use third-party tracking cookies, sell your data, or share it with advertisers.
What we don't collect
- Passwords — we have no user accounts.
- Payment information — purchases happen on the retailer's site, not ours.
- Any personal data we don't need to run the site.
How long we keep data
- Server logs: 90 days, then deleted.
- Newsletter emails: until you unsubscribe, then deleted within 30 days.
- Analytics data: aggregated and anonymized; no individual records retained beyond 26 months.
Affiliate links
Product links go to retailers (mostly Amazon) with affiliate tags. If you buy through a link, we earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. Once you click through, you're on the retailer's site under their own privacy policy — we don't share your personal data with them beyond the click itself.
Your rights
- EU / UK (GDPR): You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of data we hold. You also have the right to object to processing and to lodge a complaint with your national data protection authority (e.g., ICO in the UK, or your local DPA in the EU).
- California (CCPA / CPRA): You can request, correct, or delete the data we hold. We do not sell personal information.
- Cookies: You can clear or block them in your browser settings. The site works without them.

Children's privacy
BuyerReviewsGuide is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has submitted data to us, email us and we'll delete it promptly.
Changes to this policy
We'll update the "Last updated" date when this policy changes. For material changes (what we collect or who we share with), we'll post a notice on the homepage for at least 14 days.
